Today's topic is "comfortable housing". I'm going to talk about "Collective housing", which is the most comfortable way to live in our time, I think.
Collective housing is a way to live in community. So there are some common rooms or space in it but people in the community can have a private room or house within it. So you can be in your own room if you want to be alone and you can join the community in shared space if you want.
The most important advantage of it is "efficiency" obtained by sharing of roles. There are some rules to keep order and you must share them with others, but the other members will be a great help for your living because of efficient sharing of roles within the community. For example, you must help to prepare meal for the community on a regular basis, but, in contrast, you don't need to prepare meal on the other days. Accordingly, you will have more free time to do.
Moreover, such the community can get bigger power toward our society than an individual. No one don't have any abilities such as playing guitar. There are those who have an ability in IT field, medical field, or sports field, what have you. In such the community, those individuals who have each own abilities help one another and often create bigger value for our society.
Thanks to everyone, my admission to Portland State University was fixed. I will study about "Community Development" there. Also, I am seeking possibilities to live in collective housing, which is called "co-housing" in the United States during the stay there because it will also be the great place where I can learn about "community".
